Again, from the land of opportunities and the pearl of the Occident where people are passionate about private computer servers, I bring you another analysis of a 69-year old woman’s emails. Her name is Hillary Clinton, and we have now certified that she never sends emails with emojis because she is a hateful woman who was mean to her husband’s mistresses! Brr.
Jokes aside, I share this video of my latest FRANCE 24 interview with you because there are two important points I make. I am no apologist for Hillary Clinton or any politician of the entire US administration squad from left to right, I can and will criticize her on many aspects of her politics, but I will say this loud and clear, the persecution of Hillary Clinton for the story of her emails is unprecedented, and bordering on mania. Here in my interview I cite three different instances, George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, and Colin Powell, who, individually, did the same thing Hillary Clinton did, if not worse, deleted millions of emails to thwart investigations, set up private servers, erased these servers costing taxpayers an alleged $100,000, even sold government property computers, yet the media discussed it in one or two news segment, max. If I had more time, I would have also talked about the emails of Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, and Rick Perry. While the Clinton email story certainly raises legitimate questions that deserve answers, the hypocrisy here seems to be running deep considering that the same wasn’t done with the others.
I don’t blame FBI Director James Comey for keeping the investigation going, he’s already elbow-deep into this sensitive matter, I elaborate on that in the second question, but this Hillary email obsession better end with a great punchline. And here, I start with one:

Firas, the media is fully responsible for twisting and turning this election at its whim, and it has utterly failed to convey the real stakes of this election. The media is responsible for putting Trump on the frontline, the media is responsible for putting Bernie in the back and Hillary in the front, the media is responsible for not exposing the absolute failures of the obsolete American system and its administrations. While the Clinton email story raises legitimate questions that deserve answers, other stories of the past that are similar to Clinton’s have not been investigated, because it wasn’t interesting to the media. There is a failed system. It is the same failed system that didn’t bat an eye when the Bush admin went to war on an immense hoax of a pretext, and sent 6,000 US soldiers to their death, and 500,000 Iraqis, a proven hoax, but all we hear about is Benghazi. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t talk about Benghazi, let them talk the hell out of Benghazi, but it is necessary to ask why hasn’t anyone frantically obsessed, not to mention merely brought up, the false case that was made for invading Iraq. It is a chauvinistic, failed system.

Ce n’est pas une raison suffisante pour chercher à excuser Hillary si ses prédécesseurs n’ont pas été poursuivis. Sans doute parce que la découverte n’ a pas eu eu lieu au moment opportun. Aujourd’hui ses méfaits sont susceptibles de la mener en prison. Je suis d’accord avec toi. L’histoire de ses emails pose des questions légitimes, mais j’aime l’équité.
Peut-être que ses méfaits sont susceptibles de la mener en prison, mais le fait qu’il n’y ait pas eu d’enquête sur les emails de ses prédécesseurs pour savoir s’ils échangeaient des informations classifiées ou non me dérange, surtout qu’ils ont des preuves qu’ils ont tous supprimés leurs emails. Mais nous vivons dans un monde hypocrite. Bush est allé en guerre en Irak utilisant le prétexte d’un incroyable mensonge. Plus de 6.000 Américains ont été tués, et 500.000 Irakiens, sans parler de ceux qui sont mutilés mais vivants, mais on n’entend que parler de la question de Hillary et Benghazi.
De plus, que dire des méfaits de Trump alors? Ce principal candidat à la présidence qui n’a pas payé ses taxes, et qui est accusé de viol d’une fille de 13 ans, et d’harcèlement sexuel par plusieurs femmes, et qui est poursuivi pour fraude de charité et se rend au tribunal en novembre, et contre lequel le procureur général de New York a engagé des poursuites réclamant 40 millions de dollars pour avoir trompé les élèves de son “l’université” qui est légalement considérée une arnaque?
A suivre la logique que tu décris, le peuple américain doit être révolté encore plus par ce charlatan qui continue à briguer la première magistrature, et rabaisser la dégradation des valeurs comme tu dis. Mais non, nous sommes focalisé sur la femme dont l’histoire des emails a déjà été exonérée par le FBI. Oui, on n’excuse pas Hillary gratuitement, mais surtout, on excuse les autres encore moins.

Yes, very good point Zaher. And to be more specific, the power is in the hands of the independent voters in swing states specifically. Florida, Arizona, North Carolina, Ohio, Nevada, Colorado are the hot ones, the first three being a real tossup. And it seems to be quite a tight race.
