I discuss how disappointingly the State has been handling the demonstrations, how the Lebanese people are stuck between a rock and a hard place: hostage to the steepest economic crisis ever witnessed by Lebanon, and prisoners of the most dystopian oligarchy that is forbidding and delegitimizing its humane purpose. Most importantly, I denounce the infiltrators of security forces, infiltrators who are nothing but partisans of specific political parties who wear security forces costumes just so that they may abuse protesters with impunity. And the State gives them impunity, and the surrounding political factions turn a blind eye. And the Lebanese people, as always, remain so superhumanly resilient.
